Misconceptions
Brain dead. Mind dull. That's what they thought. They were wrong. They had never worked out that he was clever.
That he was always watching, analysing. Calculating.
That he made all the decisions.
Did they think that he just worked on instinct? Made it up as he went along? That he just made sarcastic comments to cover his innate stupidity?
Could he have gotten where he was if he was really that thick? That stupid.
He had seen the amused smiles. He used their misconceptions to his advantage.
He always won in the end and they had never noticed.
